...and i found out the last dentist i went to, who told me my wisdom teeth had never come in, lied to me.

i go in on tuesday the 20th to have my right two wisdom teeth removed. there are complications and whatnot, but ultimately, what i t comes down to is this; the top right one is in bad shape, and the bottom right one is only half out of my gums, so it will be prone to infection for the rest of my life.

the pain that i've been dealing with since friday comes from the completely-clear top tooth biting down on the only-half-clear bottom tooth, and it just happened to get infected this time. why am i waiting so long? well, first, i have to wait for the infection to clear (for which i have antibiotics and vicodin). i also want to be able to enjoy the rib-off, even if it means having to be drugged to the gills to do so (who knows? it might even help my cooking). and the dentist isn't open on monday. so tuesday it is. he'll write me a note for work for both tuesday and wednesday, but if at all possible, i'm gonna pull through and go in wednesday.

my concerns are two-fold;

1) with my attendance record, my work may very well use this an excuse to downsize me. while on paper, i'm sure this would have nothing to do with my losing employment, in reality i'm really worried that this will cost me my job.
2) my insurance only covers 80% of the procedure and none of the anestetic. that's right. none. i dunno how burly they think i am, but...ahem.

Fuck No.

and this isn't considering the secondary concerns, like; although i'll be gassed, i'll have to be awake. i won't be able to smoke, for god knows how long. if i manage to go into work the next day, will i be able to drive myself, or will i have to wake up and extra hour early to make the max (and it's horrendously long commute time)?

grrr.

On its most basic level, it implies war, a struggle, and an eventual, hard-won victory. Either over enemies, obstacles, nature, the beasts inside you, or to just get what you want. But there is a great deal more to it. The charioteer wears emblems of the sun, yet the sign behind this card is the moon. The chariot is all about motion, and yet it is often shown as stationary. It is a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be (and can be!) made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
